Jasmine Silk was founded in 1982, and is a world leader in finest quality silk. The parent company is based in the Hangzhou region of China, on the Yangtze River delta. As well as being one of the most beautiful parts of China with stunning scenery and ancient buildings, it is also where the best silkworms are found.

A former capital of the Southern Song Dynasty, Hangzhou is renowned for its culture. Many philosophers, politicians and poets have made their home here, and it is the origin of the popular Chinese folk song Mo Li Hua. This translates as ‘Jasmine Flower’, after which our company is named.

Jasmine Silk is a family firm, one of the largest producers of fine silk in China and the name behind many famous designer labels.
